About Me – Virtual Assistant
Hi, I’m Emma Newburn. Over the past two and a half decades, I’ve provided administrative support to a variety of different but busy people. I have helped them save time, money and energy.
I started Share The Load – Virtual Assistant in December 2019 after a long Executive Assistant career in the Live Music Industry.
After finishing university, I began my career as an Agent’s PA, I moved agencies before settling at an independent. Here I went on to become PA and Operations manager to the MD. I helped the company relocate twice finally to Brighton. My role included PA support, booking worldwide tours for bands such as Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys, recruitment, accounting, asset management, and establishing and streamlining office processes and procedures.
My last role was self-managing a really diverse workload and it seemed like a natural progression to set up my own assistant business. Using my initiative and through getting to know my clients I have learned how to pre-empt where support is needed and identify how I can help so they can focus on business growth.
It’s really important to me to complete tasks thoroughly, carefully and on time using great communication skills. I am a fast learner and problem solver, and through my experience, I have picked up fantastic practical and numerical skills. My aim is to motivate and inspire people to reach their potential, whether within a job role or a personal achievement. I love a challenge and work well under pressure to meet important deadlines. As a VA I always embrace new technology and learning new things. Being organised and an efficient worker is a priority for me – I love a list!
